She was supposed to be the perfect weapon, the military had commissioned a bot from her creator. 04-K1 was a perfect shot, she never missed a target. It was what she had been programmed to do. But while still in early stages of her development, her creator’s daughter died of illness. It shattered the man’s heart, his wife has passed when his little girl was still very young. In his grief, he poured his heart into his work, and made a mistake on 0K-41. He gave her a personality, one similar to his departed daughter’s. It didn’t take him long to realize his mistake, and when the military had come to take their robot to war, the creator made excuses to go along, saying she’d need expert care to stay in top condition. He had begun to care for the bot as if she really was his daughter. It was clear that the personality given to the feminine bot was not one compatible with war. In many ways, she was like a small child. She had an artificial intelligence, and her “father” was her teacher. She learned to speak, to do the job she was built to do. She shot things. But 0K-41 never wanted to kill anything. No, she held life sacred, perhaps because she herself was a mere shadow of it. She mimicked life but was not really alive. Her creator told her that every time she left with the men in the military, it was just a game. They never really died or were even in pain, it was all just.. an act. It was for a big film production! Little lies like that kept the bot shooting. But they wouldn’t last forever.
Eventually she caught on that it wasn’t a game. Poor girl was absolutely devastated. She had killed hundreds of people for the military, she had a breakdown. Oil dripped from her eyes as if she was crying. It broke the creator’s heart, he had to get his little girl away from the thing that made her so sad; the killing, the fighting. Though to the military and the public, both man and bot mysteriously disappeared, in reality they had fled from the place. They hid for many years, until the searches died down and the news had become just an old memory.
Years later, a side-show attraction appeared, in memory and honor of an old icon. Annie Oakley had been the greatest shot in the world at one point, and now there was a robot that was a tribute to that. Oakly never missed a target, but you could challenge her to a shooting match at any fair she appeared at. So the bot had finally found a place where her special skills could be used in a real game that only hurt her challengers’ pride.
She was happy this way, and seeing her smile rather than cry brought a smile to the old creator’s lips. He died peacefully with his robotic daughter at his bedside at a ripe old age. He had willed to Oakly his entire estate, having no living children or spouse. However, a particularly greedy cousin argued that brought to the court's attention that Oakly wasn't a person so much as a.. thing. And so in a ruling by the court, the estate, including Oakly, was given the the cousin. And the bot was powered down and left in the basement to rust away. She is roughly 70 years old.
Look I have Pictures too!
This one is older and the hair color is most likely inaccurate (I haven't decided yet)
